Types of membership in International Asia-Pacifc Pole & Arial Acrobatic Association (IAPPA)
1. General provisions
1.1. This Appendix is based on Statute of Membership in International Asia-Pacific Pole & Aerial Acrobatic Association.
1.2. The present Appendix defines the membership structure, types of membership, and membership fees for each type. It also contains information about documents and data required for admission of each type of member.
1.3. Membership in the Association for all types of members is voluntary.
2.Types of membership
2.1. Types of membership are listed below. The candidate voluntarily chooses a relevant type of membership on the basis of his or her abilities, achievements and professional aspirations in the field of pole acrobatic dance.
2.2. Types of membership:
- amateur
- danceperson/sportsperson
- instructor
- head of dance school
- judge
- dance school (club)
- organization (association, company)
2.2.1. Amateur
Type of membership designed for the lovers of Pole Dance & Pole Fitness style, students of dance schools and amateur enthusiasts who wish to become a part of Pole Dance Community and contribute to development and promotion of this new dance and sport discipline.
Required documents:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association
- filled-in questionnaire for amateur members
- membership fee of 50 $ (annual membership fee)
- 2 photos (size ¾ cm)
Discounts and privileges:
-10% discount for the ticket to APPA International Championship
-10% discount for the ticket to National Championship accredited by APPA Association
- listing in the Registry of members on IAPPA’s official Internet site (www.poleart.ru)
- listing in the mailing list and notification about events organized by IAPPA.
2.2.2. Danceperson/Sportperson
Type of membership designed for professional dancers of Pole Acrobatic, participants of Championships organized under the auspices of the Association, and regional and national championships.
Required documents:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association
- filled-in questionnaire for sportsperson-members
- membership fee of 100 $ (annual membership fee)
- professional CV (record, achievements, awards, championships)
- 2 photos (size ¾ cm)
Discounts and privileges:
- 10% discount for hotel when participating in IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok)
- 20% discount for participation in workshops organized within the program of IAPPA Championships
- 20% discount for advanced training courses for dancers organized by IAPPA
-20% discount for training course “Instructor Pole Acrobatic Dance of IAPPA”
- listing in the Registry of members on IAPPA’s official Internet site (www.poleart.ru)
- personal office on the Association’s Internet site (personal member’s number)
- promotion in the Association’s Internet resources (photos and videos)
- listing in the mailing list for professional information and notification about all events organized by the Association
- recognition on international level
2.2.3. Instructor
Type of membership for acting professional instructors, coaches of Pole Acrobatic working in specialized dance schools of Pole Dance & Pole Sport.
Required documents:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association
- filled-in questionnaire
- membership fee of 150 $ (annual membership fee)
- professional CV (record, professional training, courses, workshops, awards)
- certificates to confirm professional level
- 2 photos (size ¾ cm)
Discounts and privileges:
- 10% discount for hotel when participating in IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok)
- 20% discount for participation in workshops organized within the program of IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok)
- 20% discount for training course “Instructor of Pole Acrobatic Dance of IAPPA”
- recognition and accreditation by IAPPA (issuing a certificate upon completion of instructors’ course)
- listing in the Registry of members on IAPPA’s official Internet site (www.poleart.ru)
- personal office on the Association’s Internet site
- promotion in the Association’s Internet resources (photos and videos)
- recognition on international level
2.2.4. Head of Dance school (organization)
Type of membership designed for owners and heads of dance schools specializing in Pole Dance & Pole Sport, or manages of other organizations active in the field of Pole Acrobatic.
Required documents:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association
- filled-in questionnaire for heads of dance schools (organizations)
- documents to certify the position of a head or owner of dance school
- membership fee of 200 $ (annual membership fee)
- professional CV (record, achievements, awards, workshops, courses)
- certificates to confirm professional qualification
- information about the dance school (styles, qualifications of instructors)
- 2 photos (size ¾ cm)
Discounts and privileges:
- 10% discount for hotel when participating in IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok)
- 20% discount for advanced training courses organized by IAPPA for the head of school and instructors, if the instructors are also members of the Association (courses “Instructor of Pole Acrobatic Dance of IAPPA”, “Judge of Pole Acrobatic Dance of IAPPA)
- 20% discount for participation in workshops organized within the program of IAPPA Championships (for the head of dance school and instructors that are also members)
- certificates upon completion of training courses
- listing in the Registry of members on IAPPA (with personal member’s number)
- personal office on the Association’s Internet site
- promotion in the Association’s Internet resources
- recognition on international level
2.2.5. Judge
Type of membership designed for professional sportspersons, instructors, heads of dance schools recognized and accredited by IAPPA, who completed training course “Judge of Pole Acrobatic Dance of IAPPA” and wish to become members of the panel of judges at the Championships of Pole Acrobatic organized under the auspices of the Association.
Required documents:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association
- filled-in questionnaire for judge-member
- membership fee of 200 $ (annual membership fee)
- professional CV (record, achievements, awards, courses)
- certificates to confirm professional qualification
- 2 photos (size ¾ cm)
Discounts and privileges:
- 20% discount for seminars and training courses for judges
- 30% discount for hotel when participating in IAPPA Championship as an accredited judge (if arriving from abroad)
- discount for airplane tickets when participating in IAPPA Championship as an accredited judge (the amount is subject to negotiations)
- remuneration for acting as a judge at IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok) (the amount is subject to negotiations)
- listing in the Registry of members on IAPPA’s official Internet site (with personal member’s number)
- personal office on the Association’s Internet site
- promotion in the Association’s Internet resources (photos and videos)
- recognition on international level
2.2.6. Dance school
Type of membership designed for legal entities, such as dance schools and clubs specializing in Pole Dance & Pole Fitness& Aerial Arts that contribute to development and promotion of pole dance as a discipline in sports choreography.
Required documents and criteria:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association, from the head (owner) of organization
- certificates of official registration (copies)
- membership fee of 300 $
- history of dance school (club)
- information about the dance school or club: styles, structure, number of instructors, students, members
- instructors of the school have to be members of IAPPA and have certificates of membership
- official Internet site of dance school (club)
Discounts and privileges:
- 20% discount for the school’s instructors for workshops organized within the program of IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok)
- 20% discount for advanced training courses for judges, certification of instructors, seminars organized under the auspices of IAPPA
- 10% discount for hotel when participating in IAPPA Championships (Vladivostok) (for members of the Association)
- placement of the dance school’s logo on the Association’s Internet site
-placement of poster of Studio in APPA Championships
- personal office on the Association’s Internet site (listing of location)
- promotion in the Association’s Internet resources

2.2.7.Organization (national association)
Type of membership designed for legal entities (national associations, organizations etc.) that are active in the field of Pole &Aerial Acrobatic , whose activity contributes to the development and promotion of pole dance and a sports and dance discipline in their regions and countries.
Required documents and criteria:
- application addressed to the Presidents of Association,
- certificates of official registration (copies)
- history of organization
- membership fee of 400 $
- organization’s logo (mark)
- plans of activities in the field of Pole Dance & Pole Fitness for near future
Discounts and privileges:
- 10% discount for members of the organization for tickets to IAPPA Championship (Vladivostok)
- 20% discount for workshops, seminars, certification courses for members of organization
- 20% discount for training course “Judge of Pole Acrobatic Dance of IAPPA” for members of organization
- listing in the Registry of members on IAPPA’s official Internet site
- personal account on the Association’s Internet site (listing of location)
- promotion in the Association’s Internet resources
- listing as a partner during IAPPA Championships
- Placement of organization’s advertising banner during IAPPA Championships
- recognition on international level
